Job Summary

The Aerospace Assembler is responsible for assembling aircraft parts and structures according to technical specifications and quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and other aerospace professionals to ensure the production of high-quality and safe aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Component Assembly : Read and interpret technical plans and drawings to assemble aircraft parts and structures.
  • Tools and Equipment Operation: Use a variety of hand tools, machines, and assembly equipment, such as riveters, drills, grinders, and fastening devices.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Verify the quality of assembled parts, perform tests and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality and durability.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain necessary documentation, including assembly reports, quality control checklists, and maintenance logs.

Conditions

  • Safety: Strict adherence to safety standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety goggles, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Environment: Primarily working in a workshop or assembly hangar, with occasional travel to production sites or other facilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in uncomfortable positions.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Diploma in mechanics, aerospace, or a related field. Professional training in aerospace assembly is an asset.

Experience: Previous experience in assembly within the aerospace industry is highly desired.

Technical skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical plans and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using assembly tools and equipment.

Precision and dexterity: Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise and meticulous tasks.

Communication skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

Flexibility: Willingness to work variable schedules, including night shifts and overtime, when necessary.
